Description: RAST is segmentation-based methods to detect arbitrary-shaped text instances and it is designed based on the idea of Progressive Scale Expansion Network (PSE-net). The proposed method outputs multiple segmentation results by utilizing different lever features in the deep convolution networks. Text polygon expressions are then extracted from the multiple segmentation results with the Progressive Scale Expansion Algorithm.
