Last Minute Instructions

Dear participants to the ICDAR 2015 Robust Reading Competition,

For those of you who have already, or intend to participate to the ICDAR 2015 Robust Reading Competition, please review carefully the following instructions. Remember that the deadline for participation is tomorrow, Thursday 2/4 at 23:59 CET.

If you participate in any of the Tasks of the 2015 edition: 1.4, 2.4, 3.1, 3.4, 4.1, 4.3, 4.4.

In order to treat your submissions as valid entries to the competition, please make sure that they have a reasonable and identifiable submission name (names such as “12345”, “submission 1” or “test” are not good selections) and a full description that provides some minimal technical information about the method (5-10 lines is a good size to aim for). Remember that you can edit the name and description fields of your submissions through the “My Methods” tab of the corresponding Challenge.

If you have made multiple submissions that are variants of the same method, please name them accordingly (e.g. add “var.1”, “var. 2” etc after the name). The text of the description in these cases might be shared between the submissions.

All valid submissions uploaded until the deadline will be treated as competition entries. If you have made a submission that is not intended to be included in the 2015 competition, please enter your account and delete this submission before the deadline.

If you have made a submission for any of the rest of the Tasks (not part of the 2015 edition): 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3.

These are tasks introduced in the 2013 competition that have been open for submissions of results in a continuous mode since 2013. If space permits, we will include an analysis over these tasks in the ICDAR 2015 report. For this analysis we will only consider any methods submitted until the deadline of the 2015 competition that are set to be “Public” and have correctly filled in name and description fields.
